Workhorse Steering Control & Suspension Problems - Gone

Glenn & his wife, Marge, who make their home in Fridley, a Minneapolis suburb, retired a little over 2-1/2 years ago. Since the Rasmussen heritage excludes traits like idleness, they definitely have places and people to see.

Even before he prepar-
ed for his trip, Glenn had fought loose motor-
home steering controls and the Workhorse chassis didn’t quite perform up to snuff.
Extra warranty work had failed to correct the situation. If he were going to fix it, he wanted the job done right so he began seeking referrals. In early 2007, he found Henderson’s Line-Up, creator of SuperSteer®, through an Internet recommendation.

Since their travel plans took Glenn & Marge through the northwest anyway, Glenn decided to include Henderson’s in their itinerary. Henderson’s makes its home in Grants Pass & Oregon’s I-5 winds right past the city.

What Glenn Did To Improve
His Coach Performance

The Henderson’s technical team ran his coach through their registered RPA® (Road Performance Assessment).SSBellCrankThis 15-mile road test & 50-point under-coach inspection reveals the true culprits in RV bad performance. These professional technicians, with the help of their RPA®, never simply throw on parts until something works. Saves their customers money, time & aggravation.

First, Fix The Steering Controls

Using RPA® analysis results, Henderson’s installed a driver’s side SuperSteer® Bell Crank, replaced front springs & adjusted the steering gear to stop road wander & tighten steering control.

Then Comes The Suspension

Steer® Rear Trac Bar
& a Roadmaster Front Sway Bar.

They finished with Henderson’s signature Precision Hunter Wheel Alignment where they align customers’ vehicles within a few hundredths of a degree.

The Happy Result

Glenn says he is “absolutely impressed with the improved handling.” Henderson’s techs will tell you they aim to coax “better than new” performance out of every motorhome & 5th wheel they roll out.

SuperSteer® RPA® Center

On our follow-up call, Glenn told us after he arrived back home he had a subsequent problem unrelated to Henderson’s work. A left rear spring broke & needed attention. Glenn went to Precision Frame & Alignment in Elk River, Minnesota.

Precision Frame just happens to be an RPA® Center associate. Henderson’s created the RPA® Center concept a few years back. They had in mind creating a network of professional RV repair centers dedicated to superior service & ethical business practice. Robert Henderson quickly admits he feels fortunate Precision Frame chose to join because they consistently display those very qualities.

Once again Glenn was impressed with the service. “The Precision Frame team was very helpful & did their level-best to get me ready to travel on a four-day deadline. Glenn quips, “Dick Lornston, the owner of Precision Frame personally was so helpful out front with customers, I don’t know when he has time to handle the management work.”

Glenn Says He Likes The
Approach & Attitude

Finally, Glenn wrote to Henderson’s, “Thank you for your good service & Christian business philosophy. I was so impressed with your mission statement,” (see the SuperSteer Vision here) “I shared it with the faculty at Dunwoody College of Technology.”

Says Glenn, “One of (the faculty’s) comments says quite a bit, ‘Makes you want to go there & apply for a job.’ Couldn’t have stated it better myself.”

Marge & Glenn, who is now retired from the faculty of Dunwoody in Minneapolis, enjoy their grandchildren, traveling & life in general. And they sure aren’t letting any grass grow. They both revel in their family. At this writing, they’re visiting their daughter & grandchildren in Florence, Kentucky. From Florence, they plan to trek a little southwest. He says, “Next week’s stop — Branson, Missouri.”

We’re thankful for Glenn’s trust and wish him & Marge many carefree miles & lots of happy family visits with their children & ten grandchildren.
